These caring Long Islanders, and many more who remain anonymous, generously donated to the 2022 Newsday Charities Help-A-Family campaign, raising $284,374 to help their neighbors in need. With all administrative costs covered by Newsday, 100% of the money raised will be granted to local nonprofit agencies that provide programs focusing on hunger, housing, child abuse prevention/treatment and youth education.
