Once again, our community came together in the spirit of giving to help their neighbors in need. These caring Long Islanders generously donated to the 2021 Newsday Charities Help-A-Family campaign, raising $377,522.81. With all administrative costs covered by Newsday, 100% of the money raised will be granted to local nonprofit agencies that provide programs focusing on hunger, housing, child abuse prevention/treatment and youth education.
Thanks to these donors, and many more who remain anonymous, Long Island’s most vulnerable children and families will receive the care they desperately need.
