How We Are Helping


Newsday Charities launched the Long Island COVID-19 Relief Fund on May 10, 2020 to help those Long Islanders most impacted by the virus. Our initial goal was $250,000. Within six weeks, thanks to the many generous Long Islanders who donated, we have exceeded our goal raising $311,891.

Below is a list of the organizations that have already received grants through the Newsday Charities Long Island COVID-19 Relief Fund:

Family Service League – $20,000
The Interfaith Nutrition Network – $15,000
Pronto of Long Island – $10,000

JANUARY 2021
Community Action Southold Township – $10,000
Community Development Corporation of Long Island – $25,000
EAC Network – $10,000
Family and Children’s Association – $20,000
Gerald Ryan Outreach Center – $10,000
Housing Help, Inc. – $10,000
Long Island Council of Churches – $10,000
Society of St. Vincent de Paul – $20,000
