Even as the coronavirus pandemic took hold bringing additional unemployment, food insecurity and instability to our community, many generous Long Islanders stepped up to help their neighbors in need donating $312,166 to the Newsday Charities Long Island COVID-19 Relief Fund. Newsday pays administrative cost, so 100% of the money raised will be granted to local nonprofit agencies that are providing critical services to help sustain Long Islanders who have been impacted by this crisis.
